Chef Paul Mach is an Assistant Professor of Hospitality and Culinary Arts in the School of Business and Hospitality at the Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport, PA.
He is a Certified Specialist of Wine from the Society of Wine Educators and in 2001 was the 20th recipient of Penn College’s Veronica Muzic Master Teacher Award, and current chair of the College’s Curriculum Governance Committee.
Chef Paul has presented seminars on food, wine and beer at regional restaurants, the Pennsylvania State Farm Show in Harrisburg, America’s Grape Country Wine Festival, and the Finger Lakes Wine Festival, where he served both as Bacchus, Host of the Festival and the Guest Chef of the Festival Tasters Banquet. He has worked with his students, cooking for thousands over 4 decades at 25 Kentucky Derby and 4 Breeder’s Cup events at Churchill Downs, as well as the Ryder Cup at Valhalla CC, all in Louisville, KY. He recently helped celebrate the 25 year anniversary of the creation of the Hunt Country Vineyards Harvest Festival in the Finger Lakes of New York State.
Chef Paul is the co-host and culinary creator of the popular public television cooking series “You’re the Chef”, as well as the author of the shows companion cook book of the same name. Appearances of “You’re the Chef” as an outreach activity of the School of Hospitality continue post-production through appearances on radio, at regional conferences, and in grammar and high school visitations. He currently contributes to ‘Inside Pennsylvania’ quarterly periodical with new recipes and tips for improving cooking your home.
